For the next two days ARVR Women has our eyes and ears on Facebook to find out their latest plans for Oculus, the company’s VR ecosystem that comprises virtual reality headsets Go, Quest and Rift S, the focus of their annual developer conference now in its sixth year. This is the 4th year they’re hosting it in Downtown San Jose.
And while you might know the way to get here, if you’re in search of where to eat, drink and karaoke in the real world after the convention doors close, these suggestions are for you.

Taco Mania Budget friendly, fast Mexican food near the Fairmont Hotel, next to Johnny Rockets. Closes at 10pm.

Original Joe’s “Established in 1956 by the Rocca Family, Original Joe’s Restaurant in San Jose, California has been the cornerstone of an ever-changing downtown and the growth of Silicon Valley.” $11-$30 Per Person. Closes at 11pm. Check out The Hideaway, their cocktail lounge next door.
Scott’s A shabby entrance betrays a stunning rooftop deck from which you can Instagram vaporwave palm trees at sunset as a plane comes in for a landing. Call ahead to confirm it’s not reserved for a private event. Closes at 10pm.

The Grill on the Alley “The Grill is modeled after the great grills of New York and San Francisco in the 30s & 40s’. The flagship location opened its doors over 30 years ago, just steps from famed Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California and since has become known to locals as ‘ … where Hollywood eats … ‘ (Hollywood Reporter, 2014).” The deserts look amazing. Separate Bar seating. Pricier than McCormick’s. Closes at 10pm.
Hyatt Place Lobby Bar This is the hotel where the Indie developer lounge is happening on Thursday the 26th.
Paper Planes craft cocktails, easy going atmosphere. Closes at 2am, Kitchen closes at midnight.
Caffe Frascati SF-Euro caffeinated vibes and sidewalk seating at this local favorite.
Whispers Café and Creperie self-proclaimed “Best Café Food in Town. Closes at 3pm
7 Bamboo A local favorite in the heart of Japantown. 5pm-2:00am, Karaoke starts at 7pm.
Dive Bar Karaoke Wednesday nights starting at 10pm. “This downtown gem brings a bit of San Francisco to San Jose. The bar itself hails from the original “Original Joe’s” in San Francisco. Part of our decor are three stars which once hung at the top of the Macy’s building in Union Square.”
