NEW: Tech Stars Foundation Grant – Applications for grant considerations will be open March 15 – April 8. Support ranges from $10,000 to $50,000 depending on the established organizations budget. Must be a public charity, non-profit, e.g., a 501(c)(3)

NEW: Epic Megagrants Awards from Epic MegaGrants will range from $5,000 to $500,000 and will cover a wide variety of endeavors to further strengthen creativity and innovation within the 3D community. This includes projects built with Unreal Engine or developers enhancing open-source 3D content creation, whether or not it integrates with or relates to UE4.

All Epic MegaGrants recipients will continue to own their IP and will be free to publish however they wish. Submissions will be evaluated, and grants awarded, on a continual rolling basis as funds allow, with no firm deadlines to submit.

NEW: Stories of the Future Saturday, April 27th we are going to bring together a group of Filmmakers, Storytellers and Developers to engage in a conversation about the future of XR tech in the entertainment industry, and generate visionary ideas.

The winning team will present its project at the 2019 AWE conference that is taking place in Santa Clara May 29-31, and CODAME will be present to select some projects to be showcased at their ART+TECH Festival.

Fast Forward Summer Accelerator 2019 Apply by April 8, 2019 Fast Forward runs the first and only accelerator program for tech nonprofits, which in five years has enabled 41 tech nonprofits to impact over 51M lives and raise over $102M in follow-on funding. Details on the Accelerator: – The program will span from July to October. – The accelerator is a 13-week program where we meet in person in the San Francisco Bay Area (June 26 – 27, July 10 – 11, July 24 – 25, Aug 7 – 8, and Aug 21 – 22) and in New York City (Sep 9 – 10). – If selected, accelerator teams receive a $25,000 general support grant, training, and access to over 100 mentors, as well as, over 400 potential donors.

Ottawa International Animation Festival – Deadline for entry forms and film URLs: Friday, May 31st, 2019 There is no entry or registration fee. VR submissions can be presented either as a URL link to a streaming video play-through, or as a URL link to a VR build file. The link must be active until the end of July. Supported platforms are Oculus RiftHTC Vive, and Samsung Gear VR only.
